Sven’s Tuna Tartare Recipe

One of my (Sven) favorite things to eat is tuna tartare! It is so quick and easy to make, plus healthy and fresh. And it really impresses at a party! Follow my recipe, or add your favorites too it like avocado, or seaweed salad. 

Ingredience

  • 1 pound Sushi-Grade, Svenfish Tuna, finely chopped
  • 1 Finely minced medium sized shallot
  • 1tbs Sesame Oil (or to taste)
  • 2tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil (or to taste)
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • Fresh ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Dash of Sesame Seeds
  • 2 Finely minced green onion (scallion)
  • Freshly graded lemon zest of one lemon

Method

  1. Mix the shallots, salt and pepper with the two kinds of oils.
  2. Add the chopped tuna and very gently mix by hand or with a spoon.
  3. Top with sesame seeds, lemon zest, and minced green onion.
  4. Serve with rice, crackers, or as a side dish.
