New England Baked Haddock
Haddock is one of the most popular fish consumed world-wide! Svenfish haddock is always sustainably sourced and wild-caught. This versatile whitefish is flaky with a medium texture and a fresh, briny flavor. So, our go to haddock recipe? Oven baked with a golden brown Ritz cracker crust.
Ingredients
- 1lb of fresh Svenfish haddock fillets
- 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers
- 5 Tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper (or your favorite seasoning)
- Lemon and parsley for garnish
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a baking sheet with butter or a little canola oil.
- Gently pat the filets dry with a paper towel and place on the baking sheet. Season liberally with salt and pepper.
- Melt 5 Tbsp of butter. Crush the Ritz crackers, it should look similar to breadcrumbs. Stir well with the melted butter.
- Top fish with cracker/butter mixture and pack it down against the top of the filets.
- Place in preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. (For every inch of fillet thickness, bake for 10 mins).
- Serve with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of parsley.
