I order cheeks whenever they are on offer. Halibut cheeks are even firmer than their codfish counterparts, a true delicacy. I keep a container of prepared seafood stuffing in my freezer so am always prepared for baking them on a bed of stuffing (sometimes also with cooked rice. I usually marinate the fish and shredded vegetables in teriyaki sauce first, baking until the sauce and vegetables reduce and brown a bit. This time it was a bottled lemon garlic marinade that was rather thick. So I mixed it just with the vegetables and spread that over the cheeks. Baked 375F for 45 minutes. Between their bed of stuffing and blanket of vegetables, they stayed quite juicy and tender. Always a great meal!

I ordered cod cheeks. The morning of delivery, I received a call from the docks that they were not available; however, the scallops were fresh and could be substituted along with haddock, cod etc. I opted for the scallops.
I was very impressed by the customer service - the direct phone call letting me know of the cod cheek status and the willingness to help find something close to the price point I wanted.
And the scallops were SO subtly sweet and, of course, fresh. They made a perfect dinner.

We tried these because of the all the announcements. They were fresh as usual but they didn't taste any different than good old cod loin to us. Used the supplied breaded/crispy recipe, but pan frying left the coating soggy and falling off. Would recommend deep fat. Think we'll stick to good old cod filets.

Disappointed cod cheeks were unavailable. Cod loin substitute was excellent. Fresh, clean taste and we'll cut pieces of fish. 5 star quality fish but repeatedly unable to get cod cheeks
